Lead Shipside Operations Specialist (Ship Captain) **Company:** The Boeing Company **Boeing Defense, Space & Security** (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a **Lead Shipside Operations Specialist****(Ship Captain)** to join our H-47 Operations team in **Ridley Park, PA.** **_Position Responsibilities:_** * Supports daily tier meetings and drive timely resolution of known constraints to responsible support organizations * Works cross-functionally to resolve issues impacting the production schedule such as engineering issues, part shortages, and staffing constraints * Analyzes defect data to determine point of origin and root cause, and develop corrective action plans to prevent defect reoccurrence * Develops and execute continuous improvement projects to help achieve cost and schedule targets as well as overall business goals and objectives * Develops organizational and technical strategies to support production needs * Provides input to Program Management teams on aircraft operations and delivery status as well as major aircraft build milestones and critical restraints * Develops and maintain relationships and partnerships with Manufacturing Leadership, Program Management, and support organizations ** _Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):_** * 3+ years’ experience managing or leading a project * 3+ years’ experience in a manufacturing or operations environment * Experience implementing lean methodologies and productivity improvements * Experience working with MS Office Suite, such as Word, Excel and MS Project ** _Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):_** * Manufacturing Execution Systems common image (MESci) experience * Experience in the Aerospace & Defense Industry and/or the military * Experience interfacing with senior and executive leadership * Experience collecting and analyzing data and generating metrics reports * Strong analytic, problem solving, and troubleshooting skills ** _Conflict of Interest:_** Successful candidates fo
