We do this by being deeply knowledgeable, fully capable, and always dependable, and our associates are the driving force behind this commitment. **Job Summary** Responsible for leading activities of shipping and receiving department to ensure orders are prepared for shipment and shipped orders are received. **Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities** * Reviews paperwork for incoming merchandise and customer orders in order to distribute work activities to team. * Loads/unloads material onto or from pallets, trays, racks and shelves by hand. * Prepares inventory for shipment. Properly bands and shrink wraps pallets and attaches shipping labels. * Processes shipping orders using computerized shipping system and monitors order pick report. * Loads and unloads trucks and ensures trucks are loaded by Shippers. * Maintains warehouse inventory on racks in a neat and orderly manner. * Trains Shippers/Receivers as assigned. * Tracks shipping errors. * Performs other duties as assigned. **Nature and Scope** * Problems are typically difficult and/or high impact. Troubleshoots complex support or operational problems for junior level associates. * Under limited supervision, independently resolves issues and applies a variety of methods to develop customized solutions. May lead the daily operations of a department or team. Work typically involves infrequent review of output by a supervisor or direct customers of the process. * Assists with supervisory duties but does not have hiring/firing authority. Trains, delegates tasks, and reviews the work of junior level associates. **Work Environment** * Typically located in a comfortable indoor area. There may be regular exposure to mild physical discomfort from factors, such as dust, fumes
