4-5 days per week in the office, Regular in-person meetings and events, Ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person, Travel to participate in events on behalf of the company from time to time

What They're Looking For.

Must Have

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in architecture, Licensed architect in good standing, 12+ years of architecture and design experience, Experience with Revit, Experience with Bluebeam Revu, Experience with SketchUp, Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator), Experience with Microsoft Office, Working knowledge of building codes, standards, zoning regulations and other jurisdictional regulatory requirements, Understanding of permitting requirements, General knowledge of MEP/Structural systems and associated constructability requirements, Understanding of how buildings are constructed, Understanding of AIA design agreements, leadership skills, organizational skills, communication skills, relationship-management skills

Nice to Have

Retail and/or automotive experience, Project management / program management experience, Knowledge of sustainable design programs, Certification experience (LEED or similar)

What You'll Do.

Document retail brand standards for rapid scaling and deployment

Ensure Scout architecture is executed with consistent

high-quality standards

Coordinate design/construction requirements with internal Scout teams

Manage execution/construction of the retail prototype

Perform user testing at a test site and implement learnings

Enforce a consistent brand experience and profile across all retail touchpoints

Deploy core elements of Scout’s brand ethos and product DNA into retail experience design

Manage the RFP process for A/E firms

Lead partner selection and build a network of design professionals

Develop and manage design services budgets and preliminary construction budgets

Compile documents for communicating project scope for internal funding approvals

Create templates for communicating project summaries and outlook

Enforce the process for retail facilities design review and design compliance

Enforce the process for maintaining design schedules and permitting schedules

Establish formal project-level milestones

Attend jurisdictional preconstruction meetings

Manage multiple projects in multiple jurisdictions simultaneously

Manage execution of design agreements with consultants

Facilitate handover of construction documents and permits to construction management team

Finalize construction budgets

Collect cost and schedule data for analysis

Provide design input on other company projects

How You'll Work.

Team & Collaboration

Coordinate design/construction requirements offered by critical internal Scout teams (IT, Security, Environmental Health, Retail Operations, AfterSales, etc.); Work with these teams to ensure their business needs are being met through each facility design and in the design prototype; Collaborate across the company to build better; Work with construction/preconstruction team members; Work with preconstruction and construction team members

Communication Scope

Communicate brand standards; Communicate project scope; Communicate project summaries and project outlook; Leadership, organizational, communication, and relationship-management skills

Process & Methodology

Project management / program management experience, Leading design consultants through project execution, Manage execution/construction of the retail prototype, Manage the RFP process for A/E firms, Develop and manage design services budgets and preliminary construction budgets, Manage multiple projects in multiple jurisdictions simultaneously, Manage execution of design agreements with architects, engineers, and other design consultants, Facilitate smooth handover of construction documents and permits to construction management team, Finalize construction budgets for internal funding approvals and project execution, Establish formal project-level milestones that verify work completion definitions and gates
