The primary purpose of this position to assist in providing fiscal, policy, regulatory and legislative analysis for DCDEE in order to plan for agency/DCDEE program needs. The position also provides policy planning and coordination with the NC Child Care Commission. A key responsibility for this position is to provide supervision to policy team members. **Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences** Salary Range: $63,927 - $111,871 Recruitment Range: $63,927 - $80,827 _Candidates now meet the minimum qualifications of a position if they meet the minimum education and experience listed on the vacancy announcement._ _The Knowledge Skills and Abilities/ Management Preferences are not required. Applicants who possess the following skills are preferred._ * Professional working knowledge of early childhood systems, early childhood programs and best practices for child development and early education * Demonstrated experience analyzing policies and/or federal/state legislation * Experience in data collection for policy, legislative, or fiscal analysis *Experience in drafting policy recommendations and/or legislative reports * Ability to establish and maintain effective wo
