What They're Looking For.
Must Have
5+ years of progressive experience in payroll and/or accounting, Workday payroll experience required, Knowledge of payroll regulations, tax, and compliance requirements across US states and Canadian provinces, Advanced proficiency in Excel, Demonstrated ability to lead through influence
Nice to Have
FPC or CPP preferred, Experience with SOX-controlled environments is a plus
What You'll Do.
Serve as lead analyst for payroll processing
Own and review payroll items
Monitor and work ServiceNow tickets
Review and approve payrolls
Ensure compliance with laws and regulations
Lead or support payroll audits
Support quarter-end and year-end processes
Act as key point of contact for employee payroll questions
Partner with stakeholders to troubleshoot issues
Manage relationships with external providers
Support payroll-related onboarding and training
Identify and implement process improvements
Lead or contribute to system enhancements
Drive automation and self-service initiatives
Ensure data integrity and reconciliation
Back up for stock-related payroll events
Lead complex payroll projects
Mentor and coach peers
How You'll Work.
Team & Collaboration
Serve as a key partner for Finance and People Operations; Partner closely with People Operations, Finance, Equity, and other stakeholders; Informally mentor peers by sharing knowledge, reviewing work, and contributing to documentation and training; Lead cross-functional initiatives
