What They're Looking For.
Must Have
5+ years of experience in facility/plant engineering maintenance, 5+ years of experience in supervision/leadership roles, 2+ years of trade schooling in electrical system design, refrigeration, and HVAC, Exposure to HVAC, fluid handling/pumping, fluid filtering, mechanical systems, welding, and electrical systems engineering and operation with ability to analyze system operations, determine causes of problems, and take corrective action, Ability to effectively use computers and computer programs including Microsoft Office Suite with skill in using the Internet to navigate web-based applications, Excellent written and verbal communication skills, physical ability to lift 50 pounds, bend, sit, kneel, squat, stand, reach, and work in various environmental conditions
Nice to Have
Stationary Engineer License, Universal EPA 608 Certification
What You'll Do.
Supervise and direct maintenance staff on shift
monitoring performance of assigned responsibilities while performing or directing all maintenance departmental service requests with minimal disruption and inconvenience
Implement and supervise the preventative maintenance program by scheduling maintenance with minimal disruption
delegating tasks to qualified staff
ordering parts and equipment required for repairs and installations
and maintaining inventory
Perform preventative maintenance and repair service work on HVAC
and various building systems using hands-on skills and industry standard tools in accordance with all codes
Check malfunctioning equipment and ascertain corrective action required to restore satisfactory operating condition while ensuring availability of adequate operating inventory of tools and supplies
Provide training and supervision to operations staff by demonstrating proper use and care of tools
giving hands-on instruction in maintenance and troubleshooting procedures
recommending outside engineering courses
and instilling professionalism in manner and appearance
