Eligibility Requirements

Ability to travel to and work at remote sites supporting test integration, commissioning, and training, Must be a U. S. citizen or national, U. S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U. S. as a refugee or granted asylum, Defense Biometric Identification System (DBIDS) background check if at any time the role requires one to be on a military installation, Drivers who operate Commercial Motor Vehicles with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW), Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) or combination of power unit and trailer that meets or exceeds 10, 001 lbs. and/or transports placardable amounts of hazardous materials by ground in any vehicle on a public road while in commerce, may be subject to additional Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations including: Driver Qualification Files, Medical Certification (obtained before onboarding), Road Test, Hours of Service, Drug and Alcohol Testing (CDL drivers only), vehicle inspection requirements, CDL requirements (if applicable) and hazardous materials transportation/shipping training, Ability to obtain and maintain Merchant Mariner Credential, which includes pre-employment and random drug testing as well as DOT physical

Must Have

B. S. degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering or related field, 6+ years of direct experience in battery, Direct experience with Battery Mechanical Design, Test, and Manufacturing (or similar electrical power equipment), familiarity with lithium-ion batteries, familiarity with TR PPR design approaches, familiarity with battery test methods, Experience creating fabrication and installation drawings, Experience with GD&T (ASME Y14. 5), Experience with tolerance stack up analyses, Experience specifying and justifying margins and test sequences for aerospace systems, Desire to work hands-on, both independently and as part of a team, throughout the development and production phases of the mechanical assembly product lifecycle, Experience providing technical leadership to multidisciplinary teams, Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of collaboration and inclusion, Highly organized teammate with excellent technical written and verbal skills, Ability to travel to and work at remote sites supporting test integration, commissioning, and training, Must be a U. What You'll Do.

Use structural and thermal analyses

as well as Thermal Runaway (TR) Passive Propagation Resistance (PPR) testing

to inform battery design decisions

Develop production processes for module build

through pack assembly

and end of line acceptance testing

Work closely with the program and manufacturing management team through build

and delivery of flight hardware

Support the development of the Automated Test Equipment for acceptance and qualification testing

Support the successful qualification of the hardware

Support integration into the vehicle and assist in solving and vehicle integration
