# ******Job Description Summary****** The Product Engineer is the product owner within the assigned business. Includes ownership for the product at the drawing level, through all operations in the business. Includes product quality review associated with the manufacturing process. Requires mastery of a body of theoretical knowledge. Requires developed and strong foundation of function skills and knowledge of relevant technologies & discipline covered by standard functional practices and procedures. Some judgment may be required but this is typically with guidance. # **Job Description** ** _Roles and Responsibilities_** * High focus on safety and quality in assigned area and processes. * Incorporate Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) with existing and new process development. * Define and control production process including tooling, equipment, and training. * Document and validate process changes within guidelines of the Quality Management System. * Validate design specifications and shop floor application of new product, tools, or equipment * Develop in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline. Uses prior experience and acquired technical expertise to execute policy/strategy. * Support multiple internal customers simultaneously while balancing the demands of the business. In-depth understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the business. * Uses some level of judgment and has ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters but with guidance. Uses prior experience and on-the-job training to solve straightforward tasks.
