What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Journeyperson’s ticket, or Engineering Degree in a related subject area (Mechanical, Mining, Processing), or a combination of relevant education and experience in mining or heavy industry, 7 years of experience in planning, scheduling and execution of maintenance work, Well versed in the use of systems and technology, understanding and skills in computerized maintenance management systems, Valid Class 5 Driver’s License or equivalent
What You'll Do.
Administer and coordinate maintenance work requests and work orders
Submit Maintenance Requests on behalf of Contractors
Screen New Maintenance Requests daily
Ensure Maintenance Requests include accurate information
Lead daily work control meetings
Act as the main point of communication
Verifying safety requirements are identified
and tools are sourced
Approve materials within defined permissions
Coordinating the assignment of tradespeople and contractors
Securing mobile equipment or plant downtime windows
Assessing the production impact of equipment downtime
Facilitating collaboration across multiple operational areas
Providing guidance and support to ensure reactive maintenance
and Contractors to confirm job scopes
Ensuring safety requirements
and procedures are incorporated
Collaborating with Planners and Schedulers to prioritize work
Coordinating with the Materials Coordinator to secure tools
Monitoring equipment availability
Reviewing daily and weekly schedules
Conducting final work order reviews
Supporting reporting on equipment reliability
Reviewing Bills of Materials (BOMs)
Escalating delays or issues
Supporting preparation
planning and execution of major maintenance events
