Proficiency with mainframe security software (RACF or Top Secret), knowledge of z/OS, JCL, TSO/ISPF, and other mainframe tools, Experience with security auditing, vulnerability assessments, and threat analysis, Proficiency in scripting languages like REXX for automation, ability to analyze security risks and troubleshoot complex issues, Ability to identify and address security vulnerabilities, Excellent communication skills to explain technical risks to both technical and non-technical audiences, Ability to work effectively with other teams and influence others, Understanding of compliance standards and audit processes, Familiarity with Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) platforms
What You'll Do.
Configure and maintain mainframe security policies in a Top Secret and RACF environment
and access rules to ensure users only have access to necessary data and resources
Monitor system security
and perform regular security audits to detect and report violations and vulnerabilities
Respond to security incidents and perform forensic analysis to understand and mitigate threats
Ensure the mainframe environment complies with internal security policies and external regulations
Work with application developers
and compliance officers to support application onboarding
resolve security issues
and implement security requirements
Develop and use scripts (like REXX) to automate security tasks and improve efficiency
