What They're Looking For.

Must Have

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, CPA designation required, Minimum 6–8 years of progressive experience in internal controls, external audit, or a related field, with a focus on SOX compliance at a publicly traded company, Demonstrated experience leading or managing end-to-end SOX programs, including scoping, risk assessment, control testing, and deficiency evaluation

Nice to Have

Prior experience in a Big Four or large national public accounting firm with significant SOX/ICFR engagements is highly valued, Experience supporting M&A integrations from an ICFR perspective is a asset

What You'll Do.

Leading and managing the company's ICFR framework

Overseeing the full lifecycle of internal controls — from design and implementation through documentation

and ongoing monitoring

Serving as the primary owner of the company's SOX 404 compliance program

Maintaining and continuously improving the ICFR framework

Coordinating walkthroughs and testing with Internal Audit and external auditors

Tracking and reporting on control deficiencies

Managing remediation plans

Escalating significant findings to leadership

Leading the design and documentation of process narratives

risk and control matrices (RCMs)

Coordinating the execution of control testing procedures

Ensuring controls are appropriately designed for the risk environment and are both practical and sustainable

Maintaining a complete and organized library of ICFR documentation

and testing workpapers

Leading the ICFR workstream for business acquisitions

Partnering with project teams on system changes

and process transformation initiatives

Assessing the impact of organizational and operational changes on the control environment

Identifying opportunities to enhance control efficiency

and leverage technology

Monitoring developments in regulatory standards
