What They're Looking For.

Must Have

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, environmental sciences, or related field or equivalent work experience, Minimum of 6 years’ experience in transmission line construction environmental monitoring, Current stormwater inspection certification consistent with Oregon, Idaho, Nevada, Utah, or Arizona Department of Environmental Quality requirements or ability to obtain within 2 weeks of employment, Excellent problem-solving skills, writing skills and experience with Microsoft Office Suite products utilizing the latest operating system, Clear communicator, highly organized, thorough, accurate, and dependable, Ability to work long hours in potentially extreme weather conditions, Ability to operate four-wheel drive vehicles on rough terrain, Competence using global positioning system units, maps, iPads, and submeter accuracy devices, Field experience and comfortability working on construction projects and around heavy equipment, Experience in leadership role, Ability and willingness to relocate to the project location, Ability to read, write and speak English sufficient to perform job duties and to interact and communicate with employees and vendors

Nice to Have

Experience working in Oregon, Idaho, Nevada, Utah, or Arizona, Experience working with State and/or Federal land management agencies, Ability to adapt to a dynamic, fast-paced, and ever-changing environment

What You'll Do.

Provide environmental inspection and monitoring

Monitor and ensure compliance with permits

Supervise and train field staff

Schedule field staff and sub-contractors

Attend meetings with construction contractor

Communicate with construction personnel

Conduct site assessments

Track and report construction activities

Complete daily monitoring reports

Lead field meetings with stakeholders

Coordinate with Project Manager

Document environmental incidents

Inspect fleet vehicles

How You'll Work.

Team & Collaboration

Coordinate closely with Project Manager, construction contractor, regulatory agencies and other stakeholders; Attend regularly scheduled in-person meetings with the construction contractor and/or Federal agencies; Communicate with construction personnel

Clear communicator; writing skills; speak English sufficient to perform job duties
