What They're Looking For.
Must Have
BE. Tech OR ME/MTech in “Instrumentation & Controls” OR “Electronics & Instrumentation” OR “Electrical, Electronics & Instrumentation” OR “equivalent” from an accredited college or institution, At least 8 years of work experience in Control Systems Design and operation and maintenance in the Power / Oil and gas industry, Experience in control panel design, Exposure to PLC/DCS & turbomachinery equipment such as Gas turbine / Steam Turbine / Compressors & generators, Good team player, Good communication skills, Fluency in English
Nice to Have
International / Domestic travel for KOM (Kick Off Meetings) / Design Reviews / HAZOP / FAT as required
What You'll Do.
Apply engineering concepts on projects
Perform basic/detailed engineering of control panels for Gas / Steam Turbine driven generators/compressors
Motor driven compressors
Execute projects effectively through cross-functional collaboration
Drive engineering activities as per required project schedules
Interact/communicating with customers
Design Unit control panel in accordance with customer specifications agreed deviations
country regulations & internal design guidelines
Select BOM (Bill of Material) for PLC & other components of the control panel complying with project needs
Produce purchase specifications for control panel & associated components
Engage with Material and engineering suppliers for technical alignments & ensuring delivery plan consistency
Prepare basic engineering drawings
Develop detailed engineering drawings
Ensure control panel-related drawings are made
reviewed and delivered to customers
Ensure cable schedule and interconnecting Wiring diagram in line with panel drawings
Prepare control valve & flow element data sheets
Support SOURCING for technical alignment and PO placement
Conduct regular project reviews to evaluate risks associated with the project and come up with a mitigation plan
Participate in project calls or in-person support for KOM (Kick Off Meeting)
Design Reviews & drawings finalization and HAZOP / SIL ASSESSMENT meeting
Support software validation & FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) with customers
Provide regular inputs to the Product Standardization team for quality & process improvement
Drive engineering suppliers to deliver work with quality and on time
