Must Have
Bachelor's degree in Computer science or equivalent, Exceptional knowledge of PostgreSQL, Experience in any one of the scripting languages (bash, python), Experience in automating DBA activities using Terraform technologies, 8 to 12 years hands-on experience on various relational databases with PostgreSQL as primary skillset
Nice to Have
Experience with MySQL is a plus, Experience with databases of large sizes which are in the order of 10s of TBs is a plus
What You'll Do.
Manage cloud based PostgreSQL and MySQL database clusters
Lead database administrators team
Provide DBA support for Postgres and MySQL clusters
Mentor database administrators
Ensure database changes adhere to best practices
Support large-scale database running on AWS
Identify areas of optimization
Troubleshoot database performance issues
Improve service availability and scalability
Involve in NoSQL and New SQL databases
Perform audits of existing databases
Figure out possible improvements
