7+ years data engineering experience, 2+ years in a team lead or principal engineer role, Snowflake (advanced), dbt Cloud (advanced), Python (intermediate), Data modelling (expert), Git (advanced), Azure Data Factory (intermediate), AI & Automation Tools: Hands-on experience with tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude (or similar LLMs), Snowflake Cortex AI_COMPLETE, Elementary, and data observability platforms for AI-assisted development, SQL debugging, anomaly detection, alert classification, incident reporting, and workflow automation.
Nice to Have
Retail domain knowledge (preferred): familiarity with order management, inventory planning, and DTC data structures
What You'll Do.

Overseeing architecture decisions
Coordinating with IT teams on core data layer delivery
Approving work prior to UAT release
Operational ownership of DataHub
Managing DataHub SLAs
Overseeing new dataset intake
Serving as the escalation point for production issues
Owning the dbt project architecture
Managing the dataset delivery backlog
Governing code quality by reviewing all Silver and Gold models
Owning the end-to-end dataset handover process
Coordinating and prioritising work across Build and Run workstreams

Leading sprint demonstrations
Owning DataHub SLA performance
