What You'll Do.
providing courteous customer service in person or by answers incoming calls to the retail store, directs incoming calls to the appropriate department, assist with guest questions in store, operating cash register, assisting guests with self-checkouts, Perform/process guest services transactions such as credits, over-rings, refunds, lottery ticket sales, money orders/transfers (Western Union), media related purchases, itemizing customer purchases, handling a variety of products, Process financial transactions including, but not limited cash, checks, credit cards, food stamps, WIC, loyalty cards, gift certificates, rain checks, voids, bag customer purchases, Maintain understanding of current store programs and product locations, Understand use of check-stand equipment (register, self-checkouts) and its efficient operation, Comply with Company policies regarding security, cash handling/cash drawer accounting procedures, product handling (i.
, damaged/spoiled products), the sale of alcohol and tobacco products, Communicate the Company programs (i.
, loyalty program, scans, etc.
), in-store specials and coupons to customers, models high standards of service to achieve a customer oriented store, Maintain a clean and well-stocked ensure the department complies with Company safety and sanitation procedures and standards, Notify the department lead or manager of any issues with pricing, cash registers, etc., Follow all PPE and Safety Guidelines, Follow all Food Safety and Cleaning Expectations, Follow Guest Experience Guidelines, May be assigned tasks in other departments based on customer experience need.
