Full Job Description

POS-32582 HubSpot is looking for a Lead Counsel to join the Commercial Legal Team to provide a key support role to our EMEA Sales Teams. In this role, you’ll get to: Provide first-line client-centric legal support to our Sales teams on privacy, commercial and legal issues. Review and negotiate commercial agreements, which may include SaaS agreements, data processing agreements, consulting agreements, non-disclosure agreements, master services agreements, and statements of work. Work with other various business teams on a variety of legal processes as needed. Partner closely with Sales stakeholders, particularly in DACH, to understand the business objectives and hurdles, and drive strategic improvements. Collaborate with other legal and compliance practice groups to accelerate and unlock growth for HubSpot with a customer-centric mindset. We are looking for people who: Are qualified to practice law in Germany and are a native or fluent German speaker.Have a minimum of 5+ years of relevant in-house legal experience.Have significant experience reviewing commercial contracts and running an independent negotiation process (Enterprise SaaS experience a plus) in DACH (Germany, Austria and Switzerland).Have excellent legal drafting skills. Have a strong foundation in data protection and EU privacy law. Are enthusiastic about partnering cross functionally with business stakeholders to to understand strategic goals, and make informed recommendations to achieve business objectives (Experience supporting Sales teams a plus). Are able to make decisions and provide advice/explain the rationale for the decision to curious and empowered teams.
