What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, or construction management, 3+ years of professional experience working in construction project management, construction engineering, or facility design
Nice to Have
5+ years of leadership experience, either leading people or multi-disciplinary complex projects, Ability to perform and manage technically complex projects using independent judgement and personal initiative, Experience reading, understanding, and creating blueprints, technical manuals, and reports, Experience with facility design software and tools such as Revit, Civil 3D, AutoCAD, BIM 360, Navisworks, etc., interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment

Oversee a team of construction engineers
build and activate infrastructure that will enable orbital launch capability
and execute infrastructure projects
provide support to the operations and maintenance of facilities
Lead and mentor a team of construction engineers
and construction of SpaceX site facilities
Develop and train direct reports
Coordinate with operations teams to define project requirements
perform constructability assessments
prioritize work timelines
Coordinate all phases of development projects
organize schedules to fit operations
Prepare and coordinate all capital expenditure processes
Ensure technical specifications
and deadlines are met
Communicate and deliver building activities and schedules to personnel
and material suppliers
Manage external contractors
Provide technical support and information to ensure construction complies with all standards
Guide team members through multiple jurisdictions' permitting requirements and inspection processes
Develop cost estimates
material requisitions
and specifications for multiple small and large multi-disciplinary projects
Be proactive with respect to team growth and department/company strategy
