Must Have
High school diploma or equivalent experience, 7+ years technical assembly experience, 2-3 years overseeing a team, Experience completing large scale projects, Experience assisting lifting operations, Knowledge of standard joining methods, Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs, Perform activities: Stooping, typing, standing, or sitting for extended periods, May need to operate in small confined places, Work locations could include being on platforms around 25 feet high, Dedication to safety to mitigate industrial hazards, Willingness to travel or work required nights/weekends/on-call occasionally
Nice to Have
10+ years technical assembly experience, 3+ years leading a team of ten, Can operate a forklift, Ability to use basic machining, Experience creating designs for tooling, Experience using JIRA, Manufacturo, or other software, Experience with organizing rigging, Knowledge of rigging and lifting best practice, Knowledge of vacuum systems, Knowledge of clean room best practices, Knowledge of cryogenic systems, Prior experience in independent design and construction of small fixtures, Experience with metrology tools, Precision alignment of components

Join the power movement as Lead Technician - Assembly As a Lead Technician on the Assembly Team at CFS, you will be responsible for overseeing and organizing the small technician teams to conduct all assembly activities to construct the SPARC Tokamak. This includes the handling, alignment, and mechanical integration of large electromagnetic coils, vacuum vessels, instrumentation systems, support structures, tooling and manipulation equipment, diagnostic systems, and superconducting cable bundles, all together into a tightly packed and highly integrated central device. You will use your extensive experience in building and handling large equipment, structures, or plant systems to facilitate the efficient and high-quality completion of SPARC. You will organize the day-to-day work orders of the day per the schedule, assign technicians to each set of work, adjust as needed from previous work or issues, give morning briefs and shift hand-off reports, and overall guide all activity in the assembly work areas.
