Full Job Description

Founded in 1989, SOSi is among the largest private, founder-owned technology and services integrators in the defense and government services industry. We deliver tailored solutions, tested leadership, and trusted results to enable national security missions worldwide. The SOSi Legal Department is interested in supporting the legal education and training of a current law student interested in international business and transactions as more fully described below. The intern’s work will be overseen by the Chief Legal Officer so that the intern can learn and develop skills in international law and transactions in support of and as a compliment to work being performed by Legal Department Staff. This is an unpaid internship with no expectation of compensation anticipated to begin during the first week of June 2026 and extending until the beginning of August 2026. The intern can, but is not required to, work out of SOSi’s headquarters in Reston, VA. The internship is not intended for and does not guarantee employment with SOSi. Intern Areas of Work, Training, and Development Review and Analysis of International Business Transactions * Conduct legal research on the regulatory and contractual requirements applicable to proposed cross-border transactions, teaming arrangements, and international sales. * Assist in reviewing and summarizing key terms of international agreements and flagging issues for attorney review. * Prepare comparative analyses of legal and regulatory considerations across relevant foreign jurisdictions. * Support due diligence efforts related to international counterparties, including research on jurisdiction-specific corporate, tax, and compliance obligations. Foreign Entity Formation and Maintenance * Research jurisdictional requirements for establishing and maintaining foreign subsidiaries, branches, and representative offices. * Assist in tracking corporate governance obligations, annual filings, registered-agent requirements, and other recurring compl
