A key ingredient to making reusable systems is the ability to operate launch hardware quickly. As an Launch Technician - Instrumentation and Controls working at our Cape Canaveral Launch Site, you will build fluid, electronic, and structural launch pad systems. You will prepare the launch pad for launch operations, troubleshoot launch operation issues, and support general launch operations. You will fabricate parts and assemblies from blueprints, drawings, and verbal instructions using power tools, hand tools, and typical shop equipment. You will work directly with experienced design and launch engineers. Stay focused, move fast, self-direct, and learn on the fly. Responsibilities Safely operate various power tools, saws, and heavy-duty equipment. Work closely with engineers for launch pad system maintenance and operations. Support troubleshooting efforts for launch operations. Safely work around hazardous chemicals and high-pressure systems. Safely operate forklifts, telehandlers, and man lifts. Perform everyday tasks to keep the site running (shipping/receiving, admin tasks).
