Experience working in a laboratory with optics, lasers, photonics, and diagnostic hardware, Experience in targeted scientific literature review, and implementation of new research methods, Experience in laser control and locking electronics, optical modulators, and laser system diagnostic tools, Experience in Python or MATLAB, Ability to perform trade studies, down-select hardware, and make practical recommendations, Ability to drive practical science and engineering solutions to customer applications, Ability to implement optical, laser, and atomic physics experiments and perform measurements, Ability to convey complex concepts to various audiences, both verbally and in writing, and work effectively with various backgrounds and expertise, Ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance, Bachelor's degree
Nice to Have
5+ years of experience with quantum mechanics, atomic physics, and quantum effects in sensing, Experience working in a laboratory with lasers, atoms, spectroscopy, and alkali metals, Experience developing technology business plans and roadmaps, building and managing teams to execute projects, and overseeing resources, Experience with RF or RF photonics, software defined radios, and low noise amplifiers, Experience with ray tracing software, including ZEMAX, Experience leading and managing small to medium-sized engineering, integration, test and projects, Ability to demonstrate scientific publications or conference presentations in quantum mechanics, atomic physics, and quantum effects in sensing
