What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Valid Class 5 driver’s license, and Driver’s Abstract, with less than 6 demerits, Applicant must pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening, Ability to work as part of a team in physically demanding environments, Motivated to learn independently and from team members, with time management skills, Proficiency in operating and maintaining tools and equipment, Comfortable working in noisy environments with proper PPE, Willingness to work long hours, overtime, and participate in on-call rotations during emergencies
Nice to Have
Valid First Aid with CPR or willingness to obtain, Basic knowledge of trees, including identification and growth habits would be considered an asset
What You'll Do.
Keep the worksite clean and organized by removing fallen tree debris
Load and unload trucks with logs
or feed brush into a woodchipper
Set up tools and equipment for arborists to use
Help arborists assess the health and structural integrity of trees
possibly by assisting with measurements
Perform physically demanding manual labor in various weather conditions
Set up barriers or signs to keep the area safe for the crew and the public
