The omission of specific duties statements does not preclude management from assigning such duties if such duties are a logical assignment for the position_). * Loads, moves, and unloads dirt, materials, supplies and equipment, excavates with pick, shovel, and other hand tools; backfills holes and ditches; * Spreads materials for road patching and paving; cleans culverts, cuts grass, widens ditches and clears off rubbish; * Sprays solutions for killing weeds; may operate small power mower; * Sweeps streets; * Sets out flags and lanterns to mark off construction areas; * Clears storm drains of rubbish and rocks; * Burns rubbish at public dump and keeps area orderly; * Heats asphalt for road patching; * May check trucks and other equipment for oil, gas, and water; * May occasionally help tradesmen by performing heavy manual work in lifting and carrying building tools and materials; * Carries rocks and materials and mixes cement and mortar for the construction of sidewalks, curbing, stone walls, roadways, storm drains and bridges; and * Performs other re
