What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Bachelor's of Science Degree or its equivalent in experience, 2 year experience in veterinary medicine, research, medical education, or healthcare field, Demonstrated ability to manage animal anesthesia, surgical equipment, practice radiology safely, and provide excellent customer service to clients
Nice to Have
RVT/LVT, AALAS certification, Prior experience with surgery or anesthesia
What You'll Do.
Prepares laboratory environment for professional education courses
Conducts technical laboratory procedures and animal research anesthesia
and postoperative care
and performs disposition of all tissue samples and models
Monitors research laboratory inventory and equipment
Maintains the storage of research data and tissue records
Follows all DEA regulations related to controlled substances
Operates all equipment and devices necessary for the performance of research procedures
Maintains the physical environment
Performs all necessary surgical procedures
data collection and storage for all GLP research studies
How You'll Work.
Team & Collaboration
Coordinates on site with course coordinator; Communicates any requested changes to leadership and other teammates; Assists other technicians with complex procedures; Assists other technicians in operating equipment
