Full Job Description

**_Job Family_ :** Laboratory Technician ** _Travel Required_ :** None ** _Clearance Required_ :** Ability to Obtain Public Trust ** _What You Will Do_ :** We are searching for a Laboratory Technician to provide support services to satisfy the overall operational objectives of the National Institute on Aging. This is a full-time, on-site opportunity in Baltimore, MD. * Receive and log samples. * Maintain specimen integrity and verify accuracy of all information. * Familiarity in working with proteins. * Assign a unique lab sequence number to each specimen according to protocols; assess each specimen for condition liquid or frozen, quantity adequate or not adequate, and appearance normal, hemolyzed, icteric, lipemic. * Comply with laboratory SOPs, regulatory and safety guidelines and environmental policies and procedures; adhere to SOP and CAP regulations for data input in laboratory information systems, storage and retrieval for information. **_What You Will Need_ :** * Bachelor’s Degree * Minimum of ONE (1) year of experience in research or laboratory setting. * Experience working in Biorepository and familiar with biorepository practices. * Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. * Must be able to obtain and maintain a Federal or DoD "public trust"; candidates must obtain approved adjudication of their public trust prior to onboarding with Guidehouse. Candidates with an active public trust or suitability are preferred ** _What Would Be Nice To Have_ :** * Previous experience with NIH preferred. The annual salary range for this position is $49,000.00-$81,000.00.
