Must Have
License or equivalent degree in clinical diagnostics or equivalent, At least six years of relevant experience in strengthening diagnostic systems and capacities in-country, Experience in infectious disease diagnostics, including specific hands-on diagnostic experience, Knowledge of current diagnostic methods for infectious diseases, including point-of-care testing, Knowledge and experience in strengthening laboratories to meet international quality standards, including ISO 15189 and/or SLMTA/SLIPTA, Previous professional experience working within a non-governmental organization (NGO), government agency, or private organization, Experience in developing or managing international programs, Excellent written and oral communication skills in French, Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Ability to analyze and interpret data, identify errors, and prepare reports, Ability to solve problems and implement corrective actions as needed

What You'll Do.
Provide technical assistance to strengthen diagnostic networks and laboratory infrastructures
Ensure rapid detection and confirmation of priority pathogens during public health emergencies
Support laboratory accreditation readiness
Implement targeted quality improvement interventions
Ensure laboratory diagnostic preparedness and enhance state-of-the-art capacity
Ensure activities align with national work plan priorities and local needs
Liaise with EpiC lab advisor and project team members
Assist national stakeholders in developing or updating strategic plans
and national diagnostic network policies
Monitor and report progress on diagnostic network strengthening activities
Support capacity building of diagnostic stakeholders and local managers
Support the design and implementation of diagnostic facility assessments
Assist laboratories in preparing for accreditation
Coordinate with EpiC teams in other countries for synergies and experience sharing
Contribute to the preparation of required reports

**_Description du projet_** Atteindre les objectifs et maintenir le contrôle de l'épidémie (EpiC) est un projet mondial financé par le Plan présidentiel américain d'aide d'urgence à la lutte contre le sida (PEPFAR) et le Département d'État américain (DOS), qui fournit une assistance technique stratégique et des services directs afin de contrôler l'épidémie de VIH parmi toutes les populations à risque, de renforcer la sécurité sanitaire mondiale (GHS), y compris la réponse aux épidémies, étendre le dépistage et le traitement de la tuberculose (TB), améliorer la santé maternelle et infantile (MCH), lutter contre le paludisme et promouvoir le renforcement des systèmes de santé (HSS), y compris la gestion de la chaîne d'approvisionnement. Le projet EpiC de FHI 360 au Bénin élargit son champ d'action technique pour inclure la GHS afin de contribuer au renforcement des capacités de prévention, de détection et de réponse aux menaces liées aux maladies infectieuses. Suite aux recommandations de l'évaluation externe conjointe (JEE) de 2023 et des auto-évaluations annuelles, le ministère de la Santé du Bénin élabore actuellement le Plan d'action national pour la sécurité sanitaire (2023-2030) afin de combler les lacunes en matière de préparation et de réponse. La pandémie de COVID-19 a mis en évidence la nécessité d'une approche « One Health », que le gouvernement béninois soutient afin de mieux intégrer la santé humaine, animale et environnementale et d'améliorer la collaboration multisectorielle. Le Bénin vise à combler les lacunes critiques de ses capacités « One Health », et les investissements américains s'appuieront sur les efforts menés par le gouvernement en coordination avec ses partenaires et les parties prenantes.
