Must Have
Master degree or Ph. D. in Material Science, Metallurgy, Material and/or Mechanical Engineering or related field, Minimum 5 years of experience in Materials Engineering, failure analysis track of records, failure mechanisms identification, root cause analysis process, General knowledge of engine architecture, Extensive hands-on experience with sample preparation, multi-scale materials characterization techniques proficiency, optical microscopy, electron microscopy, hardness, Fundamentals understanding of characterization techniques, NDT included, Methodical and creative approach, attention to detail, analytical skills, inter-personal skills, self-motivated, pro-active, agility to navigate in a complex environment, technical English written and verbal communications skills, Proficient in MS office, Image analysis software
Nice to Have
Materials and processing foundations, OEMs materials and process specifications, TOPS8D notions or similar RCA tools, System-thinking, Systems understanding, Prior exposure to significant event and highly complex RCA investigation, Track of records in dealing with regulatory agencies

# ******Job Description Summary****** The Failure Analysis (FA) engineer will integrate a multi-disciplinary team expected to provide support to the design, production, and maintenance organizations and be a key contributor to maintaining a high standard of safety and reliability of the product for fielded engines and NPIs. You will be owning the timely execution of Failure Analysis and will have daily opportunity to work cross-functionally in order to foster the root cause identification process. You will leverage your experience and expertise in multi-scale material characterization techniques in conjunction to advanced analytical tools in order to provide tailored inputs for other Engineering functions.
