Must Have
High School or GED Diploma Graduate
Nice to Have
Previous lab experience, Medical terminology or knowledge, Customer service data entry and computer skills, Phlebotomy skills a plus
What You'll Do.
Operate laboratory and hospital information system
Enter patient demographic data
Enter laboratory test orders
Process outpatient lab specimens
Order tests accurately
Label specimens for testing
Retrieve patient data and results
Operate remote printers and fax
Retrieve archived patient data
Adhere to HIPAA standards
Provide client service
Call stat results to clients
Document client calls and callbacks
Answer and transfer calls
Utilize telephone call queue system
Enter information into client call database
Use computer system for interdepartmental email
Utilize web based orders
Scan and index lab requisitions
Inform couriers of specimen pickups
Assist with local specimen pickups
Follow universal safety precaution standards
Follow patient safety policies
Provide support for all lab departments
