What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Meet CLIA 88 personnel requirements for high complexity testing, Associate’s degree in MLT program from an accredited institution
Nice to Have
Certification by a recognized certifying agency for clinical laboratory professionals (ASCP, ASMT, NCA, etc)
What You'll Do.
Accurately performs any high complexity
moderate complexity or waived laboratory testing in the assigned testing division
Recognizes and corrects instrument malfunctions within the scope of the operators manual and records troubleshooting activities
verifies and reports test results independently
Monitors results for reasonableness and critical values
Correlates and interprets data generated from testing
Assists physicians in the interpretation of test results within the scope of the profession
Conducts established quality control and performance improvement activities
Provides clinical orientation and/or training of new employees/students
Prepares and/or collects specimens (blood
feces or other body fluids) for analysis
Participates in Continuous System Improvement (CSI) and continuing education programs
Performs competency for high complexity testing
