What You'll Achieve.
Ensures all receiving materials, in-process product and outbound product adheres to HP Hood, LLC quality standards
Industry & Context.
Requires morning, afternoon and overnight availability any day of the week based on assigned shift, possible exposure to hot cold wet, humid or windy weather conditions, May be subject to exposure to ingredients used in the manufacture of food products including allergens, May be subject to exposure to chemicals involved in the manufacture and sanitation of a food processing facility

Plans and schedules testing activities
Performs quality tests on raw bulk ingredients
Performs quality tests on purchased products
Performs quality tests on processed milk
Performs quality tests on processed cream
Performs quality tests on finished products
Ensures receiving materials adhere to quality standards
Ensures in-process product adheres to quality standards
Ensures outbound product adheres to quality standards
Pulls finished product samples
Logs finished product samples
Completes finished product sample testing
Pulls processing samples
Logs processing samples
Completes processing sample testing
Maintains certification by state
Maintains calibration of thermometers
Maintains calibration of pipettes
Maintains calibration of scales
Maintains accurate temperature records
Measures vitamin usage
Maintains records of vitamin usage
Completes tank inventory recording
Verifies non-conforming product
Tags affected product
Samples at time of hold
Coordinates resampling of hold product
Completes product disposition
Verifies plant equipment meets sanitation requirements
Maintains detailed records
Maintains laboratory supply inventory
Ensures laboratory documentation is current
Ensures laboratory documentation is properly completed
Trains Quality technicians
Ensures performance of testing meets specifications
Maintains shelf life/retain cooler
Performs any and all duties as directed
