Full Job Description

**Job Description** The School of Architecture and Design is seeking applicants for a **part-time Lab Technician (up to 25 hours per week)**. The Lab Technician is responsible for ensuring the safe operation of the School of Architecture and Design’s labs by providing faculty and students with fabrication training and continued support, as well as maintaining equipment and lab spaces. The role also contributes to special projects, studio setup, and events that advance the School’s mission. The Lab Technician is part of a collaborative team of technical staff and reports directly to the Director of Labs. _**Essential Functions:**_ **1\. (40%)** Oversee use of the School of Architecture and Design’s labs to maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment. Provide continued support for students and faculty working on design prototyping and applied research. Intervene when unsafe practices are observed and report incidents as required. **2\. (20%)** Provide students, staff, and faculty with instruction on equipment and fabrication methods. **3\. (30%)** Maintain lab equipment, including calibration, preventative maintenance, and repairs. Ensure organization, cleanliness, and general upkeep of lab spaces. **4\.
