Must Have

California State Certified Phlebotomy Technician or II, Certified Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) Certificate, degree that allows for performing venipunctures in the state of California, active phlebotomy certification with the California Laboratory Field Service, Current Health Care Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, Current California Certification as an HIV Counselor or must be obtained within 6 months of hire

Nice to Have

Training in Good Clinical Practices, research ethics, IATA shipments, HIPAA Privacy and Security, Rapid Regulatory Compliance, Bilingual English and Spanish, Russian, Cantonese, or ASL

What You'll Do.

Perform high-volume phlebotomy in accordance with clinical protocols.

Perform quality assurance on lab tests and maintain accurate logs to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance.

Manage and process specimens

including preparation for off-site laboratory transport.

Ensure all point-of-care tests are performed and documented per clinic guidelines.

Serve as an HIV test counselor

providing education on HIV prevention

and exposure window periods.
