What You'll Do.
Train in basic duties of study setup (e.
label printing, cassette/slide printing, jar filling, supply setup/stocking), histology (e.
embedding, staining, cover slipping) and/or necropsy (e.
organody weighing, anesthesia), Support histology leads, lead technicians, and management to prepare for study tasks and to organize priorities according to schedule, Learn problem solving skills by trouble shooting issues and implementing solutions, Demonstrate the ability to manage time effectively, Understand the need to adapt learned techniques to new situations and procedures, Demonstrate teamwork skills and contribute towards a cohesive team environment, Maintain clean, client ready labs and a safe work environment, Support AAALAC and other regulatory inspections, Participate in projects to improve efficiency, quality, safety, etc., Follow appropriate PPE requirements, Monitor animal health and welfare in compliance with the Animal Health and Welfare Act and help maintain facilities for AAALAC compliance, Perform other duties as assigned., Learn how to structure workload for themselves.
