A firm commitment to the mission of BYU., Minimum of two years of experience in laboratory operations and management, with substantial hands-on experience in microorganism handling and identification, sample preparation, and inventory management., Knowledge of safety protocols for handling chemicals and microorganisms., organizational and record-keeping skills., Ability to train and supervise student employees effectively., Knowledge of chemical and microbial laboratory methods and ability to operate and maintain scientific laboratory equipment., Knowledge of state and federal safety regulations and their implementation., Ability to work across microbiology and medical laboratory science fields of study., Experience developing SOPs and quality control procedures., collaboration and communication skills in an academic setting.
Nice to Have
