Full Job Description
As a **Kitchen Support at Bright Horizons** , you will support the Chef in promoting the health and well-being of children by helping prepare nutritious meals and maintaining a clean, safe, and well-organized kitchen environment. Join a team where your contributions matter and where you are supported to grow professionally while making a meaningful difference each day. **We are hiring a part-time Kitchen Support team member to work Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.** **Responsibilities:** * Assist with preparing and serving nutritious meals and snacks according to health guidelines, portion sizes, and any dietary or allergy requirements * Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen by following food safety, allergy‑management, sanitation, and health procedures. * Support the cook/chef by organizing supplies, stocking food items, and ensuring the kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently throughout the day * Ensure a clean and sanitary kitchen by washing dishes, mopping floors, and regularly cleaning and sanitizing work areas. **Qualifications:** Candidates must pass required state and company background checks and meet state and company minimum education and experience requirements: * 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED is required * Having or obtaining a food handler certification within 30 days of hire is required * Course work or certification in Nutrition is preferred * Food service experience in a childcare center, school cafeteria, commercial kitchen, or high‑volume food service setting is preferred Be part of a community where people grow, futures are shaped, and lives are changed.
