Full Job Description
We are seeking a highly experienced Animal Care Professional to join our leadership team as Animal Care . In addition, they are responsible for monitoring the well-being of all pets in their care, ensuring adequate record keeping and monitoring of feeding schedules and medication administration is done in conjunction with hospital technical staff. The Kennel Assistant will ensure that laundry, bathing and other tasks are completed in a timely basis. They also work with staff to provide excellent customer service while booking appointments, during drop off and pick up of pets. Minimum Requirements • Prior Animal Care Experience. • Knowledge of dog and cat body language and behavior. • General animal care and handling experience. • You are required to ensure staff receives information from the previous shift and then communicate information to the next shift. • You must be able to communicate well across different departments, with the hospital staff, and with clients. Communication is in-person, by phone, through client file notes, and via e-mail and text-message. • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Outlook, as well as basic typing skills is required.
