This role provides strong opportunities for professional development and career progression. You will work under the supervision of a licensed engineer on a range of transportation projects while building technical and analytical skills in a collaborative, team-focused environment. This role would be based out of our Schaumburg, IL office. **What You 'll Be Doing:** * Working under the supervision of a licensed engineer, assists in a variety of traffic engineering work including operational analyses and safety analysis * Support data collection tasks under the guidance of experienced planners and engineers * Assist in preparing planning reports, deliverables, and project documentation to meet Parsons standards * Take ownership of personal career development by seeking and providing feedback, seizing opportunities to develop new skills, and setting and pursuing personal goals * Provide engineering support on various projects and assigned tasks **What Required Skills You 'll Bring:** * Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field * 0+ years of experience in traffic engineering or transportation planning * Has a passion for traffic engineering and a willingness to grow and learn * Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) * Strong verbal and written communication skills * Ability to work well within a team environment and self-motivated to produce high quality work **
