Full Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and organized individual to assist with the preconstruction, bidding, and subcontractor coordination process for multiple ground-up development projects, including multifamily and mixed-use developments in Yonkers and Orange. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow within the construction and real estate development industry. The ideal candidate does not need to be a senior estimator or construction expert, but should possess strong organizational and communication skills, basic Excel knowledge, and a willingness to learn. Proper oversight, training, and guidance will be provided throughout the process. Responsibilities Assist in assembling and organizing project budgets Send out RFPs (Requests for Proposal) to subcontractors and vendors Coordinate bidding efforts across approximately 40+ construction trades Follow up with subcontractors to ensure bids are received on time Coordinate bidder questions and communicate with architects, engineers, interior designers, and consultants as needed Help organize and track RFIs (Requests for Information) Maintain bid logs, proposal tracking, and procurement spreadsheets Assist in creating Excel-based bid leveling sheets to compare subcontractor proposals Help identify scope differences, exclusions, and pricing gaps between bids Organize project documents, plans, and subcontractor correspondence Qualifications Basic understanding of construction drawings and plans Strong communication and follow-up skills Basic to intermediate Excel skills Highly organized and detail-oriented Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines Self-motivated with a willingness to learn Construction, estimating, architecture, engineering, or real estate exposure is a plus, but not required What We’re Looking For We are looking for someone who is: Hungry to learn and grow within the construction/development field Organized and reliable Comfortable communicating with subcontractors and consultants Able to
