THE OPPORTUNITY Before a single ply of carbon fibre is laid up, someone has to get it exactly right. As a Junior Kit Cutting and Digitiser Technician at Williams F1 Team, you’re the first link in the chain, ensuring every kit, insert, and material that reaches our composites team is cut, processed, and documented to the highest standard. This is a role for someone who takes genuine pride in process, accuracy, and doing things properly. You don’t need years of F1 experience, but you do need to care about the details. In a sport where margins are measured in milliseconds, the work you do in the kit room matters. WHAT YOU’LL DO * Operate our Zund cutting table and Sigmanest software to produce precision-cut kits for composites production. * Reverse engineer laminator templates using Sigmanest digitising tools and process and optimise Fibresim 2D DXF files. * Prepare inserts for composite manufacturing via chemical etching and vapour blasting, operating our in-house chemical etching
