We are looking for a talented individual who shares our values to join our team as a **_Junior IT Technician._** This position reports to the Network Administrator. **THE ROLE:** The key responsibilities of the **_Junior IT Technician_** are to assist with: * Administration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Local and Wide Area Networks across all group locations * Installation and configuration of hardware and software * Execution of physical deployments, including basic structured cabling, rack organization, and server room optimization * Performing checks of network performance, evaluating and optimizing resources to ensure uptime and performance benchmarks * Providing support to end-users inclusive of hardware, software, PBX, network or any IT related areas * Deployment and monitoring security protocols and policies ensuring users, software and network devices are compliant * Maintaining accurate records of network configurations, hardware inventories and technical documentation * Executing, monitoring and verifying regular data backups and assisting in disaster recovery testing to ensure business continuity and data integrity * Coordinating the scheduled rollout of network-wide software updates and patches to meet organizational security standards * Carrying out maintenance and repairs as require
