Unleash your talent and redefine what’s possible. _**Job Description:**_ Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented **Junior Hydrogeologist** to join our team! In this role you will get to **support environmental project work as it relates to site assessment, risk assessment/management and remediation of salt, petroleum hydrocarbon and/or fertilizer impacted sites.** **What You 'll Be Doing:** * Supporting contaminated sites in Western and Northern Canada * Thorough understanding of Alberta regulatory frameworks is required; experience with other regulatory frameworks (CCME, SK, MB, BC, NWT) is an asset. * Working with GIS and databases * Responsibility also includes regulatory communication. Candidates should have a strong sense of self-motivation toward assigned projects with proven ability as a team player. * Parsons will give candidates the flexibility to work between office and remote locations. Activities will will include working in one or more of the following disciplines: * Conceptual site model and data gap analysis * Risk assessment * Salt contamination tools * Tier 2 site-specific guideline modification * Groundwater analytical and numerical models * Remedial technologies/options evaluation * Soil vapour intrusion **What Required Skills You 'll Bring:** * 4-year degree in a scientific discipline. * Proficiency in various software applications typically used with the assigned discipline. * Requires a demonstrated proficiency in both written and oral communication skills. * Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. * Eligibility for registration in, or maintaining a good standing in, a
