What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation or Automation Engineering, 0–3 years’ experience in Electrical, Instrumentation, Automation, or a related field, Basic knowledge of electrical systems, instrumentation, and industrial control systems, Basic understanding of industrial communication protocols (e. g. Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet), Good command of written and spoken English, interpersonal and communication skills, Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment, Valid driving license
Nice to Have
Exposure to PLC / SCADA / DCS systems, Exposure to mining, process plant, or heavy industry environments
What You'll Do.
Maintain a high standard of safety awareness and personal responsibility in all activities
Develop familiarity with the process plant flowsheet
operational philosophy
and equipment across all plant areas
Develop an understanding of electrical systems
and automation systems used within the Process Plant
Gain knowledge of applicable legal
and company compliance requirements related to electrical and instrumentation systems
Work under supervision to gain practical exposure to plant systems
maintenance practices
and operational requirements
Support maintenance and operations teams under supervision as part of the learning process
Participate in plant inspections
maintenance activities
and shutdowns to develop practical understanding of equipment and systems
Support the identification and basic analysis of electrical and instrumentation issues under guidance
Gain exposure to plant control systems (PLC
DCS) and their role in process control and stability
Develop an understanding of the interaction between process performance
instrumentation accuracy
and control philosophy
Assist in maintaining accurate maintenance documentation
Demonstrate continuous development of technical knowledge and practical competency
Comply with all site safety standards
and operational requirements
Gain hands-on experience in SAP ERP (PM & MM modules) to support work order management
data entry and material transactions under supervision
