What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering or related discipline, 2 to 5 years of experience in Technical Safety/Process Safety/Safety Engineering or relevant projects, Basic understanding of technical risk assessment techniques, analytical and problem-solving skills with willingness to learn and apply technical knowledge, Good written and verbal communication skills, Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team
Nice to Have
Professional memberships and certifications are advantageous but not required
What You'll Do.
Support technical safety and risk projects by assisting in risk analysis
calculations and preparation of deliverables under supervision
Contribute to the development of technical studies such as Quantitative Risk Analysis (QRA)
ensuring accuracy and quality of work
Participate in risk and safety workshops (HAZIDS
ALARP) as a scribe on contributor
supporting preparation and documentation of outcomes
Support the development of technical documentation
including hazardous area classification layouts
fire and gas detection philosophies
and other safety-related deliverables
Perform data gathering
analysis and research to support design decisions and development of risk reduction measures
Ensure assigned tasks are completed on time
with attention to quality
