Experience working in a court system, law office, or other legal setting, Experience with Microsoft Teams or other virtual platforms

What You'll Do.

Provides all administrative support to the assigned Judicial Officer or Division Administration as a Judicial Assistant and/or Courtroom Assistant.

and revises daily court calendars

including: setting hearings

and processing motions.

Arranges for interpreters

and special assignments as necessary.

Reviews case files for completeness and contacts interested parties for missing information.

Prepares information for the Judicial Officer’s review prior to hearings.

Prepares the courtroom

gathers all parties for hearings

directs when cases will proceed to the courtroom

and manages calendar flow.

Assists in case flow management with daily input of hearing outcomes into the court database.

Handles a variety of requests

and concerns from litigants

and other court personnel.

Transcribes a variety of letters

and jury instructions when requested.

Provides administrative support for Court Administration

including providing coverage

answering phone calls

and reviewing Cal-Acti reports.
