Shift work, Flexibility to work days, afternoons/evenings, wake overnights, Flexibility to work weekdays, weekends, Travel to other locations/communities, Satisfactory VSS, Satisfactory references, Proof of education

What They're Looking For.

Must Have

Diploma in the Social Sciences, Child and Youth Care, Social Work, Minimum one year experience working with youth who have experienced trauma in their lives from a trauma-informed framework, Demonstrated experience in crisis prevention and intervention, Direct experience engaging with diverse populations, Valid G driver’s license, A understanding of the systemic barriers that young people face, Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, A demonstrated ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders effectively, Effective understanding and use of technology, including Microsoft Office applications

Nice to Have

Understanding of relevant legislation and institutional policies, Experience working within a licensed residential setting, Knowledge of the social service agencies operating in Toronto, Current Standard First Aid and CPR certificate, CPI, ASIST, Case management experience, Experience in a live-in program

What You'll Do.

Support youth educational needs

Support youth with tracking needs

Arrange and track medical/dental/health appointments

Complete intake process for incoming youth

co-facilitate meetings

Communicate with parents/guardians

Schedule youth appointments and programming

Attend court with youth

Support youth with hygiene

Foster safe and healthy work environment

De-escalate challenging behaviours

Ensure youth records are closed

Prepare and pre-cook dinner

Maintain timely and accurate notes

Perform security calls

Participate in meetings and trainings

Model agency philosophy and mission
