Eligibility Requirements

Required to work in a manufacturing environment that may involve exposure to noise, moving machinery, varying temperatures and other production-related hazards, Required to use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), Must have the physical ability to lift and carry materials weighing up to 35 lbs, Must have the ability to stand for extended periods throughout each shift, Manual dexterity is required to effectively operate tools and equipment, Overtime may be available occasionally with work volume

What They're Looking For.

Must Have

Valid Alberta Journeyperson Electrician Certificate, Demonstrated experience supervising, mentoring and supporting the technical development of electrical apprentices in accordance with apprenticeship standards, Proven experience installing, assembling, disassembling, troubleshooting and repairing a variety of electrical machinery and equipment

Nice to Have

Red Seal endorsement, Experience performing routine electrical maintenance operations, Experience supporting inspections, audits and regulatory compliance activities

What You'll Do.

testing and maintenance of conduit systems

sensors and control devices

Fabrication and assembly of electrical control panels and control systems

System verification and functional checkout

Interpreting drawings

schematics and specifications

Providing technical guidance

oversight and verification of apprentice work

Constructing and fabricating electrical control panels and systems

Installing interlocking wiring

Completing wiring inspection and checkout procedures

Following manufacturer specifications

vendor manuals and assembly and installation instructions

Leading and performing electrical isolation

lockout/tagout (LOTO) and energized work assessments

Assessing electrical hazards and ensuring required permits

controls and safe work practices are implemented

maintaining and repairing electrical power and control circuits

Ensuring all electrical work meets applicable codes

drawings and company quality requirements

updating and maintaining accurate work orders

inspection reports and technical documentation

Monitoring materials and parts usage

Assisting with the development and execution of preventative and predictive maintenance programs

Recommending improvements or modifications to electrical systems

plans and specifications

care and storage of tools

test instruments and assigned equipment

directing and supporting junior employees and apprentices

Inspecting and certifying work quality

Maintaining current knowledge of electrical technologies

compliance requirements

and industry best practices

Performing all duties in accordance with Silent-Aire safety program standards and Alberta Occupational Health and Safety Act

How You'll Work.

Provide technical guidance, oversight and verification of apprentice work; Train, direct and support junior employees and apprentices; Inspect and certify work quality as required; Communication is primarily conducted within the assigned work team and Production Supervisor; Ability to interact with others in a sensitive, tactful, diplomatic and professional manner; Highly adaptable, with interpersonal skills that support effective collaboration in a diverse work environment; Proven ability to thrive and contribute effectively in a team-based environment
