Position Summary The Journeyperson Electrician is responsible for the installation, termination, testing and maintenance of conduit systems, wiring, electrical equipment, panels, sensors and control devices in compliance with applicable codes, standards and safety regulations. This role involves the fabrication and assembly of electrical control panels and control systems, including interlock wiring, system verification and functional checkout. The Journeyperson Electrician ensures all electrical and control systems are installed accurately and commissioned to support safe, reliable and efficient operation. Roles and Responsibilities • Interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics and specifications to plan and carry out electrical installation, maintenance and repair work. • Provide technical guidance, oversight and verification of apprentice work in accordance with Alberta Apprenticeship and Industry Training (AIT) legislation. • Install, terminate and test conduit systems, cables, electrical equipment, panels, sensors and control devices in compliance with applicable codes and standards. •
