Must Have

Valid Alberta Journeyperson Electrician Certificate, Demonstrated experience supervising, mentoring and supporting the technical development of electrical apprentices in accordance with apprenticeship standards, Proven experience installing, assembling, disassembling, troubleshooting and repairing a variety of electrical machinery and equipment

Nice to Have

Red Seal endorsement, Experience performing routine electrical maintenance operations, Experience supporting inspections, audits and regulatory compliance activities

What You'll Do.

Leading and performing electrical isolation

lockout/tagout (LOTO) and energized work assessments

Assessing electrical hazards and ensuring required permits

controls and safe work practices are implemented

This role involves the fabrication and assembly of electrical control panels and control systems, including interlock wiring, system verification and functional checkout. The Journeyperson Electrician ensures all electrical and control systems are installed accurately and commissioned to support safe, reliable and efficient operation. Roles and Responsibilities • Interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics and specifications to plan and carry out electrical installation, maintenance and repair work. • Provide technical guidance, oversight and verification of apprentice work in accordance with Alberta Apprenticeship and Industry Training (AIT) legislation. • Install, terminate and test conduit systems, cables, electrical equipment, panels, sensors and control devices in compliance with applicable codes and standards. •
