About MBRDI: Mercedes-Benz Research and Development India (MBRDI), headquartered in Bengaluru with a satellite office in Pune, is the largest R&D center for Mercedes-Benz Group AG outside of Germany. Our mission is to drive innovation and excellence in automotive engineering, digitalization, and sustainable mobility solutions, shaping the future of mobility. Position Overview We are seeking a Senior Backend Developer (6–9 years) with deep expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and hands-on exposure to Kotlin. The candidate must be flexible to work in Kotlin and should be comfortable taking ownership of backend systems, ensuring scalability, high performance, and robustness, while remaining actively hands-on with coding and delivery. Key Responsibilities Hands-on design, development, and delivery  of backend services and APIs using  Java 8+/Kotlin, Spring Boot, Microservices . Write clean, testable, and efficient code along with  unit and integration tests . Contribute to  system design discussions  and propose scalable, high-performance solutions. ·       Contribute to QA: unit testing, integration testing, and supporting QA activities Work with relational and NoSQL databases ( PostgreSQL, MongoDB ) efficiently. Package and deploy applications using  Docker & Kubernetes  on  Azure or AWS . Implement monitoring, logging, and performance tuning of backend services. ·       Monitoring and observability skills for distributed environment Integrate  messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ)  and  caching frameworks (Redis) . Automate deployments and provisioning using  Terraform or similar tools . Participate in  code reviews, technical discussions , and set best practices for the team.
